CODA | February-March 2017
Tours are exciting times in the life of an orchestra and only possible because of tremendous support from home.
As we get ready to embark on an historic tour that will take Cincinnati’s orchestra to Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Tainan and Taipei in late March, we want to thank all of Cincinnati by inviting the community to virtually join the Orchestra at cincinnatisymphony.org/ontour. Through this special site as well as Facebook and Twitter, we’ll share updates as our musicians travel from city to city and country to country, complete with blog posts, behind-the-scenes photos and videos.
With the Orchestra touring as both the CSO (Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai) with Louis Langrée conducting and the Cincinnati Pops (Shanghai, Tainan, Taipei) with John Morris Russell conducting, our goal will be to give you a sense of the sights, sounds and flavors of these great cities in Asia, and also share the enthusiastic reception our performers receive from music fans around the world.
This is the first of two international tours in 2017 that affirm our core value to be Cincinnati’s ambassador and reinforce that arts put Cincinnati on the map.
