Nouveau Chamber Players

The Nouveau program boosts participation of historically underrepresented students in classical music by providing intensive pre-conservatory training for exceptional young musicians. Nouveau provides many of the resources needed to prepare students for advanced conservatory study starting as early as seventh grade.

Nouveau includes weekly lessons, music theory classes, advising, chamber music coaching and financial assistance for summer music study opportunities and college auditions.

To supplement the Nouveau program, the Cincinnati Symphony Youth Orchestra Nouveau Chamber Players, in its 11th season, brings additional young African American and Latino string musicians together to rehearse weekly under the direction of Marion Peraza deWebb and perform regularly throughout the region.

Nouveau Chamber Players is part of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra's Sound Discoveries: Music for Career and is made possible by The Corbett Educational Endowment. The program is sponsored in part by the Queen City Chapter of The Links, Incorporated national Signature Arts Program, Classics through the Ages.
