The Cincinnati Symphony Youth Orchestra (CSYO) is comprised of three ensembles:

The top-tier CSYO Philharmonic, CSYO Concert Orchestra and CSYO Nouveau Chamber Players. These talented student musicians represent over 30 high schools in southwestern Ohio, southeastern Indiana, and northern Kentucky.

Established in partnership with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra’s Multicultural Awareness Council (MAC) and in recognition of Mr. Johns’ (the CSO’s Assistant Principal cellist who holds the Karl & Roberta Schlachter Family Chair) over 40 years of service to the CSO and the community, the Award funded Mr. Abdullah’s tuition to participate in the Cincinnati Symphony Youth Orchestra.
