Brahms Fest with Louis Langrée
CSO Music Director Louis Langrée concludes the two-year Brahms Fest, honoring the German roots of Cincinnati and your CSO, and connecting Brahms’ music to the romance and intrigue of the architectural treasures of our city.
Johannes Brahms was composing music at the same time that Cincinnati was being settled. Cincinnati’s Over-the-Rhine neighborhood was named for its builders and early residents, many of them of German heritage. And its shining beacon became Cincinnati Music Hall, constructed in 1878 and which has long served as home to the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra.
Save the dates for Brahms Fest 2017 at the Taft Theatre, the CSO's home away from home during the Music Hall renovation.
