JONATHAN BAILEY HOLLAND: Ode (World Premiere)
BEETHOVEN: Symphony No. 9, Choral

PROGRAM NOTES

What’s interesting about this concert:

• Beethoven's monumental ninth features a massive choir and the famous Ode to Joy finale. This is Beethoven's celebration of our shared humanity—a theme that resounds more than ever.
• An all-star quartet of vocal soloists including Rodrick Dixon (formerly of Three Mo' Tenors) and Angel Blue, seen in this incredible video.
• A world premiere from CSO composer-in-residence Jonathan Bailey Holland connects Beethoven's work to the present.

This concert is also part of our CSO Encore YP series.
