Mission: to seek and share inspiration
September 30-October 01
DEBUSSY: Prélude à l'après-midi d'un faune
FAURÉ: Pelléas et Mélisande
The languid and gorgeous music of Debussy, always an audience favorite, opens this imaginative program created by Music Director Louis Langrée and LA-based director James Darrah. Live painting dancers in the lobby will stoke the impressionistic beauty of the evening, and give way to a visually stunning and imaginative second half featuring more French music—Gabriel Fauré’s Pelléas et Melisande, part of the CSO’s monumental Pelléas Triology.
Part theater, part concert—and the artistic statement of the season—the Taft Theatre will be transformed into a shifting world of live performance art that propels the CSO’s Pelléas Trilogy toward spoken word, narrative, and the arrival of the story’s potent key characters.
Join us for an experience you’ll be talking about for some time to come. Tickets from $12. (First-timers to the CSO or Pops get $10 tickets by phone only: 513.381.3300).
Tickets with party included are $50 and can be purchased at the ticket link. The party can be added by ticketholders for $25 by calling Amy Catanzaro at (513) 744-3325.
