Program and Description

GRAMMY-winning hip-hop artist Common joins the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra for Classical Roots. He’ll perform “Glory” from the movie Selma, for which he won the 2015 Academy Award for Best Original Song. This annual celebration of African American musical heritage at Music Hall also features vocalist Capathia Jenkins—back by popular demand—and the CSO Classical Roots Community Mass Choir. 

Enjoy a pre-concert performance by dancers from Elementz on the front steps of Music Hall from 6:45-7:25pm.
