The Tri-State Warbird Museum
4021 Borman Drive | Batavia OH  45103
Across runway of the Clermont County Airport

Take a trip back in time to the WWI era by visiting the Tri-State Warbird Museum (TSWM).  During your visit you will have a close-up look at vintage WWII-era combat planes, known as the warbirds, emblems of freedom and among the most significant and revered aircraft ever built. During this special viewing, you will see firsthand exceptionally restored and fully operational historic aircraft such as the TBM-3 Avenger and B-25 Mitchell. Each aircraft is a time capsule--a testament to the engineering, manufacturing and maintenance necessary to produce these machines that carried brave and skilled air men into battle. These historic aircraft are few in number and at growing risk of extinction.  Through the efforts of the TSWM future generations will continue to appreciate the role of aviation in defending freedom. The facility is a memorial to the fighter aircraft of WWII, the pilots who flew them, and to the men and women who built the legendary warbirds.

Delight in a springtime tour of Meredith and Chuck Downton's beautifully-restored Federal-style residence built circa 1834 (although historian Walter Langsam believes it was built in the late 1820's). Formerly the residence of Samuel Burdsal (a good friend of President William Henry Harrison), this historic home has been carefully expanded under the watchful eye of architect Ken Jones. In addition to seeing construction techniques of that era during the house tour, you'll be entranced by the sights and sounds of spring in this fascinating, evolving neighborhood and a special musical program.
